A special tip for families with small children: The Heidialm delights with lovingly staged scenes from the well-known TV series. Between the goats and alpine hut, children can discover alpine life while parents enjoy the magnificent view over the Nockberge mountains.

A barrier-free activity park at 2,000 m above sea level: the Brunnachbahn cable car takes you comfortably to the children's playground with labyrinth, raft pond and panoramic views. Ideal for a day in the great outdoors - with an easy hike, snack station and adventures for little explorers.

Take the gondola up to over 2,000 m - panoramic trails, cozy huts and plenty of fresh mountain air await at the top. An excursion destination that families can enjoy together: Hiking, resting, marveling - with views as far as the Großglockner.

For those who prefer a quieter experience or are traveling with older children, the Römerbad offers a special kind of thermal spa experience on three levels - with panoramic saunas, outdoor pools and a stylish ambience right next to the World Cup piste.

Only around 25 minutes away, a highlight with an adrenaline kick awaits on the Turracher Höhe: the modern Alpine roller coaster winds its way over curves, waves and jumps - for accompanied children aged 3 and over and brave adventurers.

On hot summer days, a short trip to Lake Millstatt is well worthwhile: bathing beaches, pedal boats, playgrounds and gentle waters offer ideal conditions for a successful family outing in the cool water.

A day trip with a thrill: the 100 m high wooden tower not only offers spectacular panoramic views over Carinthia - children aged 6 and over can whizz back down the 120 m long tube slide. Afterwards, the turquoise-green Lake Wörthersee beckons for splashing, playing and exploring.

Lake Millstätter See is Carinthia's second largest lake after Lake Wörthersee. It is approx. 15 kilometers from the hotel. There is the possibility to circle the lake on foot, by bike or e-bike. Or just do half of it and then return by boat - free of charge with the Kärnten Card. Many lidos with natural bathing beaches, spacious sunbathing lawns and wonderful terraces where you can enjoy various ice cream creations await you at Lake Millstatt. From May to September, the Döbriach market offers culinary delicacies from the region every Tuesday.

The Brennsee or Feldsee is nestled in the middle of the Carinthian Nockberge mountains and is an ideal destination that can be reached by mountain bike. Then take a quick dip in the lake to cool off - brilliant! The lake can be easily reached by car in 10 minutes. At Strandbad Sportschule Krainer, you can enjoy swimming as well as many sporting activities such as surfing, stand-up paddling or sailing. Once a year, Carinthia's largest fish festival takes place here in Feld am See. This year the fish festival will take place on 13.07. Enjoy the delicacies of char & co.

We recommend walking around the lake on foot along the Sonnenweg, with beautiful views, great forests and only short climbs leading to the panoramic trail around the lake. Fishermen get their money's worth here. Fish species such as pike, carp, trout and Arctic char can be found in the waters. There are 2 public lidos available. A tip: Delicious fish can be found at the Andreas Hofer fish farm in Feld am See.
