Plug-ins from the social networks Facebook and Instagram are integrated on the website. You can recognize these plug-ins by the respective logos at the bottom of the respective page.

The standard functionality of these plug-ins is not compatible with our ideas of data protection and privacy, as a direct connection would be established between your browser and the server of the social media platform operator each time you visit our pages, which is not obvious to the visitor. We therefore use the two-stage solution designed by heise online, which only transmits data to the operators of the network platforms with the consent of the visitors.
The buttons of the social media platforms on our pages are initially deactivated and do not establish any contact with the Facebook and Instagram servers. Only when you click on these buttons and thereby declare your consent to communication with the network platforms do they become active and establish the connection. By clicking on the activated recommendation button, the operators of the network platforms receive the information that you have visited our site with your IP address. For example, if you click on the Facebook "Like" button while you are logged into your Facebook account, you can link the content of our pages to your Facebook profile. This allows Facebook to associate your visit to our pages with your user account. We would like to point out that, as the provider of the pages, we have no knowledge of the content of the transmitted data or its use by the operators of the network platforms.
